Man’s Life Saved by Silver Necklace After Being Shot

It’s not everyday when our accessories save our lives, and we mean that in the literal sense. Normal life doesn’t allow you to equip accessories that help you become impervious to attacks. But we sure wish it did! Some believe silver will protect them from supernatural enemies, however there is no factual proof to support that. Recently a silver necklace did protect someone’s life, and not in the way you’d think.

In Commerce City, Colorado, a man’s life was saved when his silver necklace stopped a bullet from likely killing him. The incident, shared by the Commerce City Police Department (CCPD) Facebook page, occurred on May 28th, 2024. CCPD claim that the 10 millimeter chain was the only reason the man is still alive today.

According to CCPD, the victim was in a heated argument with another person that resulted in the victim being shot in the neck. The suspect, having been arrested at the scene, is facing homicide charges. The victim, due to the necklace and some serious luck, only suffered a puncture wound.

CCPD is not only claiming that the thickness of the necklace saved the victim. They also speculate that the necklace was not likely pure silver. “Side note– we don’t know what kind of metal this is, but it’s likely not pure silver. We looked it up… and silver is soft. So maybe think twice before you knock a knockoff.”

We wish the victim a speedy recovery and hope he gets a new silver necklace soon.
