Did you think the trend of turning beloved childhood characters into blood-thirsty killers was ending? Nope, and now we are getting Winnie the Pooh duking it out with Mickey Mouse in “Mickey Vs. Winnie!” It is directed and written by Emmy-nominated choreographer Glenn Douglas Packard (“Pitchfork”)

His production company, Untouchables Entertainment, and genre website iHorror, have already started production (possibly) in Michigan on the film. Winnie will be based on the now-public-domain character from A. A. Milne’s beloved children’s novel of the same name. The also-now-public-domain Mickey Mouse will be based on the character from the 1920s “Steamboat Willie” cartoon.

    The Plot

“Mickey Vs. Winnie” follows two convicts in the 1920s who escape into a cursed forest. Just when they think they are safe the duo is drug into and consumed by the woods. A century later, your horror staple group of thrill-seeking friends unknowingly ends up in the same forest. Their vacation takes a horrifying turn when the convicts mutate into twisted versions of Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh, to terrorize them.  Carnage ensues when the group faces off against these possessed fictional characters.

“Horror fans call for the thrill of witnessing icons like the new Aliens and Avengers sharing the screen,” said Packard. “While licensing nightmares make such crossovers rare, Mickey Vs Winnie serves as our tribute to that thrilling fantasy.”

Packard will produce under his Untouchables Entertainment banner, with his partner Rachel Carter. iHorror founder Anthony Pernicka is producing for his company of the same name.

“We’re thrilled to unveil this unique take to horror fans,” Pernicka said. “The Mickey Mouse featured in our film is unlike any iteration audiences have encountered before. Our portrayal doesn’t involve characters donning basic masks. Instead, we present deeply transformed, live-action horror renditions of these iconic figures, weaving together elements of innocence and malevolence. After experiencing the intense scenes we’ve crafted, you’ll never look at Mickey the same way again.”

We’ll keep you posted on updates about “Mickey Vs. Winnie” as they become available.
