Mason Alexander Park, who played Desire in season 1 of Netflix’s “The Sandman,” has some pretty great news for fans! As we know, the show, based on the graphic novel by Neil Gaiman, was late in getting the renewal, despite overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and fans alike. It spent weeks in the top 10 for the streaming service, and it really seemed like a no-brainer for additional seasons.
It took until November last year for Netflix to officially announce a season 2 pickup. But, its been a while since we’ve heard anything concrete about the show, despite Gaiman’s near constant tease of projects via his Tumblr activity.

Today’s update comes from Park, who also stars on NBC / Peacock’s popular “Quantum Leap” reboot, confirming both series are “officially back to shooting today.”
Color us excited! You can of course catch “The Sandman” on Netflix (or pick up the 4K via Amazon!), and “Quantum Leap” on Peacock. As well as keeping an eye out on various live performances of Park’s, which are ABSOLUTELY worth seeing!
We’ll let you know what we hear about the show returning.
