During NYCC, AMC Networks teased the upcoming second season of its “Interview with the Vampire” series. The sneak peek shows Théâtre des Vampires and the vampire coven of Armand. Of course just as they are preparing to devour dinner, in typical bloodsoaked fashion.

We also get a closer look at Claudia, formerly played by Bailey Bass, who is now being portrayed by Delainey Hayles. In Anne Rice‘s original novels, things get turbulent for Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia when they encounter the Théâtre des Vampires. But the teaser is already showing some shady behavior towards Claudia by Rashid (Assad Zaman).

“Interview with the Vampire” premiered last year. It is based “The Vampire Chronicles” Rice began in 1976. In the books, two-century-year-old vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac tells his life story to a reporter. It mostly revolves around a twisted vampire family saga.

The series is described as; a sensuous, contemporary reinvention of Anne Rice’s revolutionary gothic novel, Rice’s Interview with the Vampire follows Louis de Pointe du Lac (Anderson), Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), and Claudia’s (Hayles) epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Chafing at the limitations of life as a Black man in 1900s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist the rakish Lestat de Lioncourt’s offer of the ultimate escape: joining him as his vampire companion.

But Louis’s intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, soon sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement.

“Interview with the Vampire” is also a part of AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe. Alongside  “Mayfair Witches,” and a spinoff centered around the Talamasca that is currently in the works.

Season two of  “Interview with the Vampire” is expected to premiere sometime in 2024. We’ll keep you posted on updates as they become available. In the meantime you can check out the sneak peek footage below:
