MAX is heading to outer space with the new animated sci-fi series “Scavengers Reign.” The show follows the crew of the deep space freighter, Demeter, after it mysteriously reroutes and disappears into the void of space. Leading everyone to assume its inhabitants are now dead.

However, the crew is still very much alive and finds themselves stranded on a different planet, one as beautiful as it is brutal. Now they must learn about the planet to survive until they find their way back home.

The teaser trailer for  “Scavengers Reign,” shows us a beautiful planet, backed by a gorgeous instrumental soundtrack. This idyllic landscape is often punctuated with violence, destruction, and a lot of plants growing out of human beings, living and dead.

Max’s latest sci-fi epic is executive-produced by Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina for Titmouse Animation. With Sean Buckelew and James Merrill acting as co-executive producers for Green Street Pictures, and Benjy Brooke as supervising director.

“Scavengers Reign” will debut its first three episodes on October 19. Followed by three more episodes weekly through November 9 on Max. You can check out the teaser trailer below:
