Grammy-winner P!NK regrets recording her song for “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “We’ve Got Scurvy.” The artist claims it is one of her worst songs. A title she previously held for her 2012 song, “True Love,” which was about her former husband Carey Hart.

“We’ve Got Scurvy” was done for the 2009 special “SpongeBob’s Truth or Square.” While speaking with the Los Angeles Times, P!NK had the following to say: “Oh wait, I did put out that “SpongeBob” thing, I wish I never did that. That was a real mistake.”

The song offers some very descriptive disease once associated with sailors on long trips at sea. “Our gums are black, our teeth are falling out/We’ve got spots on our backs, so give it up and shout/We’ve got scurvy, we need some vitamin C/We’ve got scurvy, we need a lemon tree/We’ve got scurvy, we just chillin’ on the sea.”

The song is featured on the 2009 compilation “SongeBob’s Greatest Hits,” along with the music video. The video, which you can check out below, shows P!NK in a pirate costume while performing the song inside a fish bowl.

We can understand why the singer regrets the song, it is definitely cringe. Who hasn’t done something in the late 2000s that they regret at this point?

P!NK is currently finishing up her 2023 tour, which has had some….interesting incidents. One fan threw their mother’s ashes at the singer mid–concert. Another fan used a recent show as an opportunity to protest circumcision. You can still get tickets for the remaining tour dates, here.
