The successful horror shocker of the year, “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey,” is getting a sequel and we’re getting the first looks. Writer and Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield is back with a new cast, new creature designs, and a higher body count. “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” promises to be “bigger and badder” than the first one.

The first movie saw horrific versions of everyone’s childhood favorite honey eating bear and his timid friend go on a murder rampage. For the sequel Pooh and his friends will be leaving the 100 Acre Wood to terrorize the quiet community of Ashdown. The first film shocked everyone with is $5.2 million global earnings on just a $100,000 budget.

The cast for the sequel will include: Simon Callow, Tallulah Evans, Ryan Oliva, Scott Chambers, Marcus Massey, Eddy MacKenzie, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney. This sequel is currently in production, and these first looks are definitely unsettling. DeSouza-Feighoney as a young Winnie the Pooh is a testament to the new creature designs. The unforeseen success from “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey” has really emboldened the market for classic characters turned horror monstrosities. So far we know of Peter Pan, Bambi, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty are all being turned into horror movies. There’s no word on a release date, we’ll keep you posted when we find out.
