Hit movie of the summer “Barbie” is coming to MAX this Fall, according to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav. The picture has been such a success, Zaslav couldn’t stop praising it during the Q2 earnings call.
Greta Gerwig‘s film has surpassed expectations across the board, as it has grossed nearly $1 billion during its first two weeks. Future “Barbie” projects are already in the works due to the worldwide success. The film is generally well received by audiences.
“Barbie is really important for us,” Zaslav said.

As “Barbie” continues crushing the box office, many are looking forward to streaming at home. “When it goes on Max, it will have a good impact in the fall,” Zaslav said during the earnings call. The company put a lot of effort into promoting “The Summer of Barbie,” and it is certainly paying off. Whereas other Warner Bros. Discovery projects have not paid off.
Like “The Flash.”
The Mattel Doll inspired film is sure to boost earnings in Q3 for Warner Bros. Discovery. There is no set date for when “Barbie” will be streaming on MAX, only that it will be during Fall this year. Once more information comes out, we will report it.
