Even though fan-favorite “Stranger Things” is ending, Netflix isn’t ready to end their partnership with The Duffer Brothers yet. An animated series, based on the retro science fiction hit, is in the works for the streaming giant. It’s unclear how involved original series creators Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer will be aside from executive producing.. Eric Robles of Flying Bark Productions will executive produce, and developed the series.

Maybe the project was inspired by that fan-made anime style short?
“We’ve always dreamed of an animated Stranger Things in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving, and to see this dream realized has been absolutely thrilling,” The Duffer Brothers said in a statement. “We couldn’t be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with — the scripts and artwork are incredible, and we can’t wait to share more with you! The adventure continues.”
We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
