Twice-nominated Academy Award actor Jeremy Renner, best known for his role as Clint Barton/Hawkeye in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, has had an accident at his home near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe near Reno. The result necessitated his being airlifted to an area hospital.

It appears he was injured while working with a snowplow, clearing away some of the recent heavy snowfall which has been experienced across the region. A representative revealed Renner’s family is now at the hospital with him and he is “receiving excellent care.”

“Upon arrival, deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital,” the rep said. “Mr. Renner was the only involved party.” The major accident investigation team at the sheriff’s office is currently looking into the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier in December, Renner shared a photo showcasing the amount of snow that had already fallen at that time in the area.
