“Bioshock” Creators’ Next Game “Judas” is a Cyber Adventure

From the creators of “Bioshock” comes a new game that looks like it’ll be visually impressive and futuristically stuinning. “Judas,” which was announced during the 2022 Game Awards, already has us very curious. The environment feels reminiscent of Rapture from “Bioshock,” but has a decidedly technological difference. Including what looks like a gigantic robot dog as transportation. Sign us up!

    “Judas” announcement trailer

This really is a teaser as there’s very little to go on, but visually it looks very fun. It carries the same stylization that its predecessors did, meaning it’ll probably age nicely as time wears on. And in a landscape of games giving us the hyper-real, it’s refreshing to see a full 3-D environment with characters that are fun to look at. Each one is entertainingly different from the other. We’ve got what looks like an old-timey Sheriff, a cyborg princess, and a seductive diva. We can’t wait to see the kind of people they are. Though if the world of “Bioshock” is any indicator, they’ll all probably be a little unhinged in their own way.

We can only speculate what this sci-fi fantasy title might be about. Though given “Bioshock”s multiple endings, it could be a story that takes a different path depending on who you decide to partner with. That would mean a lot for replay value, as the storylines won’t be the same. But we’ll have to wait and see. No release date as of yet, but we’re excited to see more trailers as they come.

“Judas” will be available for PS5, XBox Series X|S, PC, and the Epic Store. You can wishlist it now. We’ll keep you updated on this and other news.
