While we’re all waiting for news about his ever-in-motion “Star Wars” project, Rian Johnson remains busy. Just next month, we get his “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Tale” on Netflix. Who knows what other things Johnson has been working on in his spare time. Well, we do. Kind of.

This morning, Johnson shared the first look at his upcoming series for Peacock, “Poker Face.” It stars Natasha Lyonne (“Orange is the New Black,” “Russian Doll“) and Adrien Brody (“The Pianist,” “Midnight in Paris“), but is NOT the “Poker Face” due out starring Russell Crowe and Elsa Pataky. Also, the entire supporting cast looks amazing.

It’s a 10-episode mystery-of-the-week series that follows Charlie, Lyonne’s character, who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but solve.

For the past year I’ve been making my first tv show with my friend @nlyonne & a ton of talented people. It’s an old school case-of-the-week mystery series called POKER FACE, it premieres January 26th on @peacock, and I’m VERY excited about it. Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
