“Whoa!” I think we have an “Emergency,” because things just got a little “Brighter” for Paramore fans who have patiently been waiting to scream “Hallelujah” for more Paramore. The pop punk band seems to have been feeling the “Pressure,” and after a five year hiatus, the return to the stage for a North American tour, proving they were in fact, “Born for This.” So, “Here We Go Again,” and with this announcement I think it’s safe to say things are “Looking Up” for Paramore and their very patient fans! No, I will not apologize for the Paramore song title puns. C,mon “Ain’t it Fun?”

Ok, Ok, I’ll stop. Paramore did in fact announce a North American tour for October 2022, where they will be taking the stage for the first time since 2018 after concluding the “After Laughter” tour. The band will be appearing in smaller, more intimate venues as well two appearances at the When We Were Young Festival.

The tour kicks off in Bakersfield on October 2nd, and will have one stop in Canada. The band has been teasing a return all year, telling Rolling Stone in January that they were in the studio working on a new album. “I’m always waiting for the moment for us to know we’re onto something new and we’re not just rehashing the same shit,” Williams told Rolling Stone. “It’s not about it feeling like a hit so much as it’s a scary, exciting feeling that you’re treading uncharted waters. It keeps you curious. We got to feel that feeling early on this time.”

Paramore has been one of my all time favorite bands for almost 15 years, and I’ve watched them building their career “Brick By Boring Brick,” from the side stage at Warped Tour to sold out arenas. I’ve seen them live about 8 times, so the announcement of a tour and a new album is “Proof” that I’m not “Daydreaming,” and they are truly coming back. My excitement is palpable as you can tell, and I say “Let the Flames Begin” on this great return!! Sign me all the way up, “Now!”

This is truly “All I Wanted,” and I plan to snatch up tickets someway, somehow. I’m sure they’ll sell out before I get a chance to grab a pair, but I’m gonna try for a “Miracle” because “For a Pessimist, I’m Pretty Optimistic.”
