In the past decade or two, technology has drastically changed the way we live. From the way we communicate, to the way we work and even the way we entertain ourselves, the impact has been profound to say the least.

However hard it is to imagine a world without today’s technology, it is not that long ago that such a world did exist. With the rapid pace of technological advancement, it is impossible to predict what the future holds for us. But if one thing is for sure, it’s that technology will continue to shape and change our lives in ways we cannot even imagine.

    Uses of technology

In today’s world, technology is present in nearly every aspect of our lives. With the vast amount of data available at our fingertips, we can now use technology to make informed decisions about all sorts of things.

For example, let’s say you’re a business owner trying to decide whether to sell a new product. You can use technology to research the market, study your competition, and gather data about customer behaviour. This information can help you make a decision about whether to invest in the new product.

Another example, lets say you’re a doctor trying to diagnose a patient. You can use technology to review the patient’s medical history, order tests, and consult with other doctors. This information can help you make a decision about the best course of treatment for the patient.

Technology can also be used to make decisions about things like where to live, what to eat, and how to spend your free time. There is so much information available at our fingertips. Therefore, we can now use technology to make informed decisions about all sorts of things.

Most of these things relate to research-based desioin making. But technology can also be used to actually play a part in making decisions for us, too.

How to use technology to make choices

There are many options available when considering the use of ttechnology to help in making choices. One way is to use a website like spinnerwheel.com. This online tool allows you to input different options and then spin the wheel to randomly choose one. This can be helpful when you are trying to make a decision between two or more very similar options, and you don’t know what to choose.

Such kinds of decision-making aids can also be found in abundance on the web and on phone apps. There are many such applications that you can download that will allow you to input different options and then click something that will select one at random. There are so many potential situations where this can be of help, and it’s particularly relevant to indecisive people.

There is more than one benefit to having technology make decisions for you. It can reduce stress and also remove blame.

For example, a couple might not be able to decide on one of 5 names for their baby. All are great names but one does not want to disappoint the other by taking responsibility for the final decision. This can be a fun way to make decisions and can add an element of excitement to the process.

    Multiple wheels for complex decision-making

Making complex decisions can be a daunting task, especially when there are multiple factors to consider. But with the help of this type of technology, we can also create far more than a virtual “wheel of names” that can help us make those decisions, but something with multiple variables.

Using  the Spinnerwheel.com website again as an example, the user is able to create custom wheels with a large number of display options. They are able to create up to eight random wheels on a page and spin them individually or at the same time.

Examples of the possible decision-making outcomes include:

    • Fairly distributing people into groups (no bias due to randomness)
    • Building strong passwords by combining random strings
    • Creating random mathematics questions for students

To get started, enter the options you want on the wheel and then spin it. The wheel will randomly select an option or multiple options from your predefined list for you. You can then keep spinning the wheel until you are done.

This website can be a great tool for making complex decisions, or even for helping with your work (especially if you are a teacher!). It takes any hint of bias out of the equation and can help you decide on existing options quickly and easily.
