How to set up and test TONOR microphones in Windows?

Now China is one of the countries with the largest manufacturing power in the world. In the “microphone case”, it has up to hundreds of factories producing microphones. Among them are MPOW, Fifine, Maono, and many more. But one manufacturer attracts the most attention. The manufacturer is TONOR. So far TONOR offers a wide range of products such as ring lights and microphones. In its line of microphones, TONOR relies on the famous TONOR TC-777 one of the cheapest sold on Amazon. But that does not mean that it is not quality. From many reviews, the TONOR TC-777 ranks at the top of the most preferred microphones. For information, this type is ranked 4.5 out of 5. This rating is obtained from about 2000 reviews.

This article will explain about how we should setup the TONOR TC-777 on Windows. When we got it came in a black box, we found a lot of accessories inside. When we unscrew the packaging, we find the user guide and filter pop at the top. To note, the pop filter has a size twice the size of most pop filters. There is a Mic extension arm which comes with a dual layer pop up filter, thus maximum protection can be ensured.

The best part of this product is that it comes with accessories that are 80% attached. Please note, this microphone is equipped with a tripod mount and a pop filter connector. To use it, you can attach a filter and extend the legs of the tripod. It’s very easy and no experience is required to operate it. There is also an included air filter. Tripod with mic attached is about 23 cm tall. Broadly speaking, there is no need for you to buy additional accessories. It’s all in the box!

    Design

The TONOR TC-777 is a condenser type microphone. It has a Cardioid polar pattern. The polar pattern is complemented by Bright and Crisp sounds. Thus, the microphone can only pick up sound coming from the front, while canceling out sound coming from the back and sides. Such a design is considered to be able to minimize sound interference that is difficult to overcome.

    Quality of manufacture

The TONOR TC-777 is made of metal. The design is unique and square in shape. Anyway it doesn’t have that expensive look. But for most people, expensive displays are not a priority. Perhaps the only drawback is the non-detachable 1.5 meter long microphone cable. If it breaks, you may have to replace everything. But you don’t have to worry as long as you don’t take the microphone to the extreme because the cable is pretty thick and durable.

    Setting

Very easy. This microphone has a universal MicroUSB 2.0 port so you won’t have any trouble connecting it with PCs, laptops and notebooks. You do not need to install additional drivers. Just plug and play! This TONOR TC-777 microphone works with Windows and Mac microphone drivers by default. You may need to set some parameters such as microphone volume gain. That’s so easy!

A note: You may receive more background noise if you turn up the microphone volume.

To achieve optimal volume with minimal disturbance, you need to set it at 90% volume from Windows Sound Settings. Do not go less or more as you may find that the microphone volume is too low and too high with a significant increase in noise. Hopefully what has been discussed in this article was really useful.
