Judd Apatow’s Latest Comedy “The Bubble” Gets a Trailer

What we thought was an April Fool’s joke is actually going to be Judd Apatow’s next film, “The Bubble.” The director dropped an absurd-looking teaser poster yesterday, and Netflix released a trailer for “Cliff Beats 6: The Battle For Everest,” with a release date of April 1st. Well turns out it was a little more meta of a post than it seemed.

Apatow’s latest film centers around a group of actors stuck inside a pandemic bubble trying to make an action film. Written by Apatow and Pam Brady (“South Park,” “Lady Dynamite”) it looks absolutely absurd. Almost as absurd as the film WITHIN the film.

“The Bubble” stars Karen Gillan, Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, Maria Bakalova, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key,  Leslie Mann, Pedro Pascal, Peter Serafinowicz, Vir Das, and Rob Delaney.

“Cliff Beasts 6” is described as “Humankind is threatened once again by a dinosaur species: Cliff Beasts. The team must reunite, after 5 long years, to battle the Cliff Beasts – but this time on Mount Everest.”

It gives us hardcore SyFy original film vibes. We are excited. You can watch the trailer for the fictional film here:

And the ACTUAL film trailer is below.

We’re pretty excited for this, it wasn’t on our radars at all but seems like a raucous unexpected surprise.

“The Bubble” will hit Netflix on April 1st, 2022
