“The Sound Of Music” Actors Sport Iconic Face Mask Designs

If you’ve never watched “The Sound Of Music” starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, we urge you to do so. It’s one of those classic movies that you can’t ignore. The music, setting, and acting are all A+, and it’s something to be celebrated for ages to come. Recently, the surviving actors who played the Von Trapp children reunited for a zoom call. They all wore something fans of the film will find very familiar.

The Von Trapp children were famously dressed in curtain clothes made by their governess Maria (Andrews). It’s particularly memorable because they were meant to be “play clothes,” which the children didn’t previously have before. Baron von Trapp (Plummer) is quite funny when he addresses where they came from.

Kym Karath, who played Gretl in “The Sound Of Music,” shared a photo of the remaining Von Trapp children actors wearing curtain masks!

Those present for the zoom call were Karath (Gretl), Debbie Turner (Marta), Angela Cartwright (Brigitta), Duane Chase (Kurt) and Nicholas Hammond (Friedrich).. the incorrigible one. They were all wearing the pattern from their curtain clothes with their cloth face masks.

Those not on the call were Chairman Carr (Liesl) who passed in 2016, and Heather Menzies (Louisa) who passed in 2017.

A pretty great reminder to continue to wear masks to protect our families and those we love.

“The Sound of Music” is currently streaming on Disney+, and Amazon.
