Take a look at the first (but probably not last) Real Housewives holiday film “The Housewives of the North Pole.” The new holiday film will debut on NBC’s Peacock streaming platform. It stars “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” O.G. Kyle Richards and “Breaking Bad” alum Betsy Brandt.
Richards is fresh off of a return to the big screen. She reprised her role in the “Halloween” franchise recently (which was also conveniently available on Peacock). If you’re a RHOBH fan, you also know she’s in the middle of a historic four-part reunion special.

This is Peacock’s first original holiday movie. They are joining the fray of Hallmark, Lifetime, Netflix, and just about every other media group out there. But does anyone else have Kyle “Doogie” Richards? Not so far, but we wouldn’t put it past her to follow in the long line of performers who make their living off these holiday films…
“The Housewives of the North Pole” follows two “Christmas Queens” (Brandt and Richards) who live in North Pole, Vermont. They allow some friendly competition surrounding holiday house decorating to come between them.
The film also stars Kyle Selig, Jearnest Corchado, Carlos Ponce, Alec Mapa, and Damon Dayoub.

Entertainment Weekly debuted some first look photos. Based on these pictures it looks on par with the level of camp we’ve come to expect from both throwaway holiday films AND Real Housewives franchises.

At least Peacock is waiting until December to debut this beauty. Some networks like Lifetime have already begun their holiday assault on the senses (spooky season? Never hear of her). For those who can’t get enough Netflix has announced 28 new additions to their slate. The running tally cross platform/network numbers over 130 so far.
We’ll be sure to add “The Housewives of the North Pole” to our ever growing docket of holiday fare.
