Zil Money Lets Businesses Fund Eligible Payments by Credit Card While Recipients Get Paid Their Way

A 2.9% card-processing fee applies, and supporting documents and transaction eligibility requirements may also apply.

TYLER, Texas, September 9, 2026. A business may want to use a credit card for an expense even when the recipient does not accept cards.

Zil Money provides a card-funded payment workflow for eligible business transactions.

The payer can use an eligible business credit card while the recipient receives a supported payment such as ACH, wire, or check. Current Zil Money documentation confirms that supporting documents, such as a vendor invoice or payroll summary, may be required for card-funded transaction approval.

Current Zil Money support documentation lists a 2.9% credit card-processing fee. Additional payment-rail charges can apply depending on the transaction.

The feature can apply to several supported business-payment situations, including eligible vendor payments, rent, and payroll funding.

It does not mean every financial obligation qualifies.

For example, Zil Money’s support documentation says mortgage and other loan-related payments cannot currently be funded by credit card through the service.

Businesses should also distinguish between payment timing and card billing.

Using a credit card may allow a company to keep bank cash available until the card balance becomes due, but the length of that period depends on the issuer, billing cycle, transaction date, and card terms.

Rewards are also determined by the card issuer. Zil Money should not promise that every transaction earns points, miles, or cash back.

For a business owner, the decision is straightforward: compare the processing cost, the need to keep cash available, the card’s terms, and the ability to repay the balance.

Businesses can review Pay by Credit Card with Zil Money.

About Zil MoneyZil Money is a financial technology company, not a bank. Card-funded payments are subject to eligibility, documentation, fees, card issuer rules, transaction review, and other applicable conditions.
