Zil Money Highlights Different Payment Priorities in Comparison With BILL

The comparison focuses on payment execution and check flexibility at Zil Money versus BILL’s broader AP, AR and finance workflow tools.

TYLER, Texas, September 9, 2026. Businesses comparing Zil Money and BILL are often comparing two different approaches to financial operations.

BILL currently offers accounts payable and receivable tools, bill management, approval workflows, accounting synchronization, procurement features, a large vendor network, and several payment methods. Its Pay By Card feature also allows a business to use a card for vendor payments even when the vendor does not directly accept cards.

Zil Money also supports card-funded vendor payments. Its broader payment offering includes ACH, wires, check printing, check mailing, emailed digital checks, virtual cards, wallet-funded payments, and eligible card-funded payroll workflows.

That means card-funded vendor payments alone are not the main difference between the platforms.

The more useful questions are how a business wants to manage checks, whether it needs card-funded payroll, how much AP automation it needs, what accounting system it uses, and how many payment methods its vendors require.

For example, BILL currently emphasizes centralized bill management, invoice coding, approvals, accounting synchronization, and vendor-network payments.

Zil Money emphasizes payment execution and gives businesses several ways to handle checks, including in-office printing, mailing, and emailed printable checks. Its current comparison page also documents business-credit-card payroll funding, subject to applicable fees and eligibility.

Neither approach is automatically right for every business.

A finance team that needs deeper AP and AR workflow controls may value BILL’s model. A company whose main concern is payment-method choice or check flexibility may place more weight on Zil Money.
