Looks like Lauren LaVera (Terrifier 2) is barreling towards scream queen status and hopping onto another horror film. She’ll star opposite Rory Culkin (Waco) in the upcoming horror-thriller Red Wedding. It’s directed by Josh Stolberg (Skillhouse) from a script he co-wrote with Pete Goldfinger (Saw X).

Red Wedding tells the story of a teenager and their stepmother being kidnapped for ransom. They are taken to a remote location by their captors, where things go from bad to even worse for everyone. When a bride and groom decide to celebrate by trying to take them all out, one by one.
The project is currently shooting in Birmingham, Alabama, and backed by Gulfstream Pictures. Mike Karz and William Bindley are producing for Gulfstream with Amy Kim and Jamie Burke for Lifeboat Productions.
“Red Wedding is exactly the kind of bold, high-concept genre film we love to champion — smart, unpredictable, and unapologetically intense,” said the Gulfstream principals. “Following our long relationship with Josh Stolberg as a writer, we’re excited to now work with him as a director. Along with the incredible pairing of Lauren LaVera and Rory Culkin, we’re thrilled to bring a fresh, elevated take on horror to audiences. It’s a wild ride with real character stakes.”
There is currently no set release window for Red Wedding. We’ll keep you posted on updates as the project develops.
