The long-awaited revival of Malcolm in the Middle is just around the corner. Hulu has finally released a full trailer for Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair!
The four-episode miniseries takes place 19 years after the events of the original show. It follows the titular character, who is now an adult with a daughter of his own. Despite his best efforts, Malcolm’s new family is sucked into his biological family’s chaos when his parents demand they attend their 40th wedding anniversary.

Most of the cast from the original Fox series will be returning with Bryan Cranston as Hal, Jane Kaczmarek as Lois, Frankie Muniz as Malcolm, Christopher Kennedy Masterson as Francis, and Justin Berfield as Reese.
Emy Coligado is joining the cast as Piama, Francis’ wife; Keeley Karsten as Malcolm’s daughter, Leah; and Kiana Madeira as his girlfriend, Tristan. Anthony Timpano and Vaughan Murrae will portray the newest siblings, Jamie and Kelly. Jamie was a baby when the series ended, and Lois had just become pregnant with Kelly.
Caleb Ellsworth-Clark, who is taking over the role of Dewey, previously played by Erik Per Sullivan, is featured prominently in the trailer.
Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair will premiere on Hulu on April 10, 2026. All 7 seasons of the original series are currently streaming on Hulu or on Disney+ for Hulu bundle subscribers.
