Disney is known for its stable of iconic characters, but few captivate children like Tinker Bell from Peter Pan. Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter (Friday Night Lights) are currently developing a live-action drama series based on the fairy!
Tink is currently in the works for Disney+.

For those that remember the news about a live-action film of the same name. Well, this is it after some reoworking. News about that project first broke in 2015 and was set to star Reese Witherspoon (Legally Blonde). However, the concept was reworked when Gary Marsh, President and Chief Creative Officer at Disney Branded Television, stepped down in 2021.
Based on the character in the beloved J.M. Barrie novel, Peter Pan. Tinker Bell was first adapted for the screen by Disney in its 1953 animated feature adaptation. Now, she graces countless properties, including being part of the company’s animated logos.

“Peter Pan & Wendy”
Disney
Yara Shahidi (Black-ish) protrayed Tinker Bell in the 2023 live-action film Peter Pan & Wendy. It’s not known at this time if she’ll reprise the role for Tink.
Heldens and Carpenter are both writing and executive producing the series with Quinn Haberman from Heldens’ Selfish Mermaid.
We’ll keep you posted on updates about Disney+’s Tink as the project develops.
