The Boys might be back in town, but not for long. Prime Video has just released a new teaser trailer for the hit show’s 5th and final season. In it, we see Homelander (Antony Starr) chase immortality through V-One, the first version of the Compound-V serum, which created the supes.
We also get a look at some Gen V transplants.
In the roughly 2-minute teaser we see Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) and Jordan Li (London Thor) speaking with Annie January/Starlight (Erin Moriarty). While everyone was expecting some Gen V to mix with The Boys, it’s nice to have confirmation.
Meanwhile Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) is still dealing with the fallout of becoming a supe. We then see Homelander wake up his father, Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), to ask for help on his quest for immortality. Closing out on him sitting in the oval office with a malicious smirk.
Despite this being its last season, The Boys is far from over. Adapted from the comic of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the series already has one successful spinoff with Gen V. In July, Prime Video also ordered the prequel series, Vought Rising, focusing on Soldier Boy (Ackles) and Stormfront (Aya Cash).
This will be the 5th and final season for The Boys. The 1st 2 episodes set to debut on Prime Video April 8th. After that new episodes will be released weekly until the series ends on May 20th.
