Neon has just revealed that the queer supernatural horror film, “Leviticus” will open in theaters this June. The studio made a seven-figure deal for the Australian movie after it debuted during Sundance’s Midnight section.
“Leviticus” is written and directed by Adrian Chiarella (“Five Bedrooms”), who is making his feature debut.

In the film Joe Bird (“Talk to Me”) and Stacy Clausen (“High Country”) co-star as star-crossed lovers. If being teenagers in love isn’t bad enough, the two must escape a violent entity. One that has the unique ability to take the shape of the person they desire most — each other. So, in this case, it seems like love really does kill.
Bird and Clausen are cast alongside Mia Wasikowska (“Crimson Peak”), Jeremy Blewitt (“Playing Gracie Darling”), Ewen Leslie (“The Nightingale”), and Davida McKenzie (“Silent Night”).
The films is produced by Samanta Jennings and Kristina Ceyton of Causeway Films, who also produced “Talk to Me” and “Bring Her Back”
Neon will release “Leviticus” into theaters on June 19th. You can check out the full poster below:
