Emmy winner Bill Hader (“Barry”) will be making his feature length directorial debut with a new horror film for MRC. Hader is set to write, direct, produce, and star in “They Know.”

Adding him to the growing line of performers jumping from comedy to tragedy as of late like Jordan Peele (“US”), Zach Cregger (“Weapons”), and Curry Barker (“Obsession”).

“They Know,” tells the story of a divorced dad, played by Hader. He begins to suspect his ex-wife’s mysterious new boyfriend is having a strange influence on their kids.

It is based on an original story crafted by Hader and “Barry” collaborator Duffy Boudreau. Bob Graf will produce under his Hanarply banner, with Alyssa Donovan.

“They Know,” is set to begin production in Los Angeles this spring. No release window has been set at this time.

So stay tuned to NerdBot for updates about this and other projects as they develop.
