Kenan & Kel to “Meet Frankenstein” in New Project

Aww here it goes! Well, kind of at least. Those four opening words greeted viewers at the start of each episode of the Nickelodeon sitcom “Kenan & Kel.” The beloved show and duo entertained audiences for four seasons and a TV movie from 1996 to early 2001. And in the 25 years since then they have never really left the public consciousness. While we got a dose of them again with 2023’s “Good Burger 2,” the boys are coming back again to face off against Frankenstein for Prime Video.

This is not one nof those things we could’ve predicted but we’re sure there’s going to be a lot of happy millennials because of this. The comedy duo of Kenan Thompson (“Saturday Night Live“) and Kel Mitchell dates back to the days of Nickelodeon’s sketch comedy show, “All That.” The two teens stood out from the pack with their wild characters and obvious chemistry anytime they were on screen together. This led to their own show, the aforementioned “Kenan & Kel,” in addition to “Good Burger” in 1997.

This project doesn’t appear to be a continuation of their previous show. It does seem to be a revival of the “Abbott & Costello” style of film that has been sorely missing in today’s landscape.

“Two delivery drivers whose routine dro-off takes a terrifying turn when they arrive at a creepy, out-of-place castle and accidentally awaken Frankenstein’s monster 0 turning an ordinary night into a fight for survival,” an early description of the show reads.

Filming is slated to begin this summer and we’ll continue to provide updates as they are announced. Both Kenan and Kel are listed as producers on the project and Jonah Feingold is writing the screenplay. Not the story we were expecting to cover in 2026 but by no means an unwelcome one!

Ya heard it here first!!! KENAN & KEL MEET FRANKENSTEIN… coming soon!!! ??‍♂️
