Disney+’s “Percy Jackson & The Olympians” has just confirmed some very exciting casting announcements. Holt McCallany (“The Waterfront”) and David Costabile (“Hershey”) will be taking on recurring guest roles in season 3. Jesse L. Martin (“The Irrational”) will also be joining the cast in a guest role.
McCallany will be playing Titan/Bearer of Heaven, who is condemned by Zeus to hold up the celestial heavens after the last Titan war against the Olympians. Given season 3 is based on Rick Riordan’s “The Titan’s Curse,” this is a huge role for the upcoming season.
Costabile will also be a recurring guest star playing Dr. Thorn, a stern military academy headmaster who demands obedience. Though this character is a guise for another mythological figure, that will remain unnamed to avoid spoilers.
Martin will guest star as the mortal father of Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), Frederick Chase. Chase is an absent-minded but brilliant military historian who was chosen by Athena to father her child. Though, like most mythological families, their relationship is complicated.
These fresh faces will star alongside Jeffries, Walker Scobell, Levi Chrisopulos, Olive Abercrombie, Dafne Keen, and Saara Chaudry.
Seasons 1 and 2 of “Percy Jackson & The Olympians” are currently streaming exclusively on Disney+. There is no set release window for season 3 yet.
