We have another exciting cast announcement from Amazon MGM’s live-action “Tomb Raider” series. Jason Isaacs (“The White Lotus”) has joined the cast! While his role at this time is unclear, he’ll be starring alongside Sophie Turner (“Game of Thrones”) as Lara Croft.
As reported earlier this month, it seems that Sigourney Weaver is still in talks to star in another unspecified role.

The plot of the series is currently being kept under wraps. Amazon MGM has declined to comment on Isaacs’ casting at this time.
Jonathan Van Tulleken (“Shōgun”) is set to direct this series adaptation of the popular video game franchise, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Killing Eve”) serving as creator and writer. Waller-Bridge and Tulleken will also executive produce and co-showrun with Chad Hodge.
“Tomb Raider” is expected to start production on January 19th. This early into development, there is no set release window just yet.
