“I’m back, baby!” is a very, very Dr. JD Dorian (Zach Braff) way of opening a teaser, don’t you think? But yes, “Scrubs” is indeed back for a reboot set 15 years after JD left Sacred Heart.
ABC just gave us the first teaser trailer for the new series.

The gang is all back together with the teaser showing JD (Braff), Dr. Christopher Turk (Donald Faison), and Dr. Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke) walking back into the hospital. JD abruptly greets some new faces who have no clue who he is. His friends suggest that he make an entrance more like Dr. Perry Cox (John C. McGinley), who then pops out to scold him. Nurse Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes) is revealed behind him and tells Cox to back off.
As you can see, the song more or less remains the same in terms of the character’s dynamics.
The “Scrubs” reboot comes from original series creator Bill Lawrence, who also executive produces alongside series staples Tim Hobert and Aseem Batra. Hobery and Batra are also returning as showrunners and writers.
“Scrubs” will premiere on February 25th on ABC before streaming on Hulu. You can check out the teaser trailer below:
