With the premiere of MGM+’s “Robin Hood” series just around the corner, the streamer has released a new trailer.
It is set right after the Norman invasion of England. We will follow Rob (Jack Patten), a Saxon forester’s son, as he falls in love with Marian (Lauren McQueen), the daughter of a Norman lord. Their passion will unite them to fight for justice and freedom. Rob’s dedication will put him at the head of a band of outlaws, while Marian infiltrates the courts. The couple band together to thwart royal corruption and bring peace to the land.

Sean Bean will portray one of the couple’s biggest foes, the Sheriff of Nottingham. John Glenn serves as showrunner, with Todd Lieberman executive producing for Hidden Pictures. It will be a 10-episode mini-series with Jonathan English directing the pilot.
This series is described as a sweeping and romantic adventure, adding a modern twist to the timeless tale. It seeks to focus more on the relationship between Robin and Marian, adding more psychological depth to the legendary characters. But given the trailer, it won’t be light on action either.
“Robin Hood” premieres November 2nd on MGM+. You can watch the brand new trailer below:
