Installation is easy. I mounted mine under the gutter/eaves of my home. They each come pre stickied, so it’s as easy as peeling a sticker off and sticking it up. I thought I would have to clean the surfaces to get them to stick, but I quickly learned that was not the case. The adhesive is good enough that you can just stick and go. And the best part is that they withstand Missouri weather. Rain, Snow and heavy wind is not enough to knock any loose. Which is a big plus because I hate getting up on ladders to fix things.
I have no outdoor plugs. I was able to run the system through my window by cutting a hole in a piece of cardboard and lining the bottom of my window with it. Then shut the window over it leaving a small gap. The cardboard is a stopgap to make sure I don’t pinch the cord. I liked this because the cord also has a button that you can use to manually turn it on and off, so if my phone is on the charger I can easily just push the button and not have to get up from bed to grab my phone. You can also set a timer for them, but I prefer to have my own schedule for when I feel like turning them on.
