We have a slew of exciting new cast announcements for the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” reboot! Faly Rakotohavana (“Unprisoned”), Ava Jean (“Law & Order: SVU”), Sarah Bock (“Severance”), Daniel Di Tomasso (“CSI: Vegas”), and Jack Cutmore-Scott (“Frasier”) have been cast as series regulars. They will star opposite Ryan Kiera Armstrong (“Skeleton Crew”) and franchise veteran Sarah Michelle Gellar (“I Know What You Did Last Summer”).

The “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” reboot’s pilot is directed by Oscar winner Chloé Zhao (“Eternals”) and written by Nora and Lilla Zuckerman (“Poker Face”). It will center around Nova (Armstrong), an introverted high-school student, and a newly found slayer. Gellar will executive produce alongside reprising her role as Buffy Summers.

Rakotohavana plays Hugo, a geeky, privileged, likable high-school student. Jean will play Larkin, a “chronic do-gooder.” Bock will portray Gracie, the group’s ringleader. Di Tomasso plays Abe, Nova’s single father and a photojournalist. Scott will play Mr. Burke, a popular high school teacher.

At this time, there is no slated release window for the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” reboot just that it will be a Hulu exclusive. We’ll keep you posted on updates as the project develops.
