The world of food and entertainment is still reeling from the passing of Anne Burrell on June 17th. The network that helped make her a star is airing a tribute to her, as well as confirming when the final season of “Worst Cooks in America” will be airing.

Since 2010, Burrell has been the mentor of the red team on the cooking competition series. The blue team has seen a rotating series of cooks over the years including people like Jeff Mauro, Rachael Ray, and Bobby Flay. Burrell was the mainstay, helping the show establish itself around her personality, and vice-versa. This final season with her will see her up against Gabe Bertaccini in the “Talented and Terrible” season. It’s described as being a season where contestants are “recruits who are professional performers and used to stealing the spotlight, but in the kitchen, they are dishing out disasters.”

As a tribute to Burrell, Food Network will be airing a selection of various episodes from her different appearances on the network starting at 10:00 PM on June 25th. “With these special programming events, we hope to honor Anne and celebrate her impact on Food Network and beyond, and to offer fans a way to remember her passion and culinary prowess that ran through everything she did,” Betsy Ayala, the head of Warner Bros. Discovery food content (the parent company of Food Network) said.
The programs will include an episode of “Guy’s Grocery Games” where Burrell guested, a “Worst Cooks in America” top 15 worst countdown, and a Boot Camp Diaries episode of the show as well. The next season of “Worst Cooks” will premiere July 28th, 2025.
