I Tried 10 RAZ Vape Flavors—These 3 Were Totally Worth It

Some vape flavors sound amazing—until you actually try them.

Over the past few months, I’ve tested 10 different flavors from this innovative brand, hoping to find the one I could stick with. What I got instead? A mix of pleasant surprises, underwhelming puffs, and a few “why does this taste like cough syrup?” moments.

If you’re exploring their lineup for the first time, click here to browse their official site and avoid the same mistakes I made

The 10 Flavors I Tried (and Why Most Disappointed Me)

I picked all ten flavors straight from the official RAZ vape flavors page, trying to get a good mix—fruity, minty, sweet, icy. I figured a variety would give me better odds of finding a winner. In reality, it made the misses even more frustrating.

    Here’s what I tried:

    • Strawberry Ice – way too artificial, like melted candy
    • Cactus Jack – interesting, but spicy and oddly dry
    • Orange Raspberry – citrus sharpness with a weirdly sour afterbite
    • Frozen Raspberry Watermelon – refreshing at first, but got dull fast
    • Strawberry Shortcake – sweet overload, better for dessert lovers
    • Banana Coconut – creamy but cloying, definitely not for everyone
    • Watermelon Ice – too cold, no depth
    • Blue Raz Ice
    • Miami Mint
    • Ruby

The last three were the only ones I genuinely enjoyed—and yes, I’d actually buy them again. The rest ranged from just okay to “nope, never again.”

How I Tested These Flavors (So You Don’t Have To)

I didn’t just try one puff and judge. For each flavor, I gave it at least two full sessions—one during a workday and one in the evening. I paid attention to flavor consistency, throat hit, aftertaste, and whether I’d want to pick it up again.

Some flavors that felt okay at first became annoying after a few hours. Others like Ruby? Took time to appreciate, but they grew on me.

My device of choice was the DC25000. If you’re using a TN9000 or a lower model, your mileage may vary a bit in airflow and intensity.

Totally Worth It #1: Blue Raz Ice

This was the flavor that made me think, “Okay, maybe this brand is actually onto something.”

The wild berry ice blend hits a perfect middle ground—it’s sweet, but not sugary. Fruity, but not fake. Cool, but not throat-numbing. Every puff feels clean and balanced, like someone finally figured out how to make a flavor that doesn’t try too hard.

Compared to Frozen Raspberry Watermelon, this berry combo feels more well-rounded. It doesn’t fade halfway or shift into an odd aftertaste. And unlike Strawberry Ice, it avoids the trap of becoming a sticky mess over time.

What stood out most was how consistent it felt from start to finish. Some vapes taste decent for the first 10 hits, then turn weird. This one stayed smooth all the way through.

It also doesn’t leave that weird film in your mouth like some dessert or candy profiles do. It’s easy to puff all day, which is exactly what I needed after going through six duds in a row.

Bottom line: If you only try one flavor from the entire lineup, make it this one. It’s the kind of flavor that earns repeat buys without getting boring.

Totally Worth It #2: Miami Mint

I didn’t expect to like this one as much as I did. Mint flavors can go either way—either they’re too icy and make your throat feel like winter, or they’re too toothpaste-y and remind you of brushing your teeth.

Miami Mint somehow avoided both traps. It’s crisp, smooth, and carries just enough sweetness to round things out. Think spearmint mojito with a subtle tropical breeze. It’s clean without being cold, flavorful without being loud.

It’s gentler than Watermelon Ice, which comes across as colder and more one-dimensional. And it’s less intense than Fire & Ice, which some might find too bold for everyday use.

What I loved most was how it felt between meals or during work breaks. Some flavors cling to your mouth or feel heavy after a while—but this one resets your palate in the best way. I even reached for it when I wasn’t really craving a vape, just because it felt that light.

It’s also a solid pick if you’re trying to switch things up without going full fruit or dessert.

Final take: If you’re into clean, versatile flavors that won’t overpower you, Miami Mint is an underrated winner.

    Totally Worth It #3: Ruby

    Ruby isn’t a crowd-pleaser in the traditional sense—and that’s exactly why I liked it.

It’s bold, layered, and leans more into real fruit complexity than candy-like sweetness. The first puff hits with a tart cherry bite, followed by raspberry sharpness, and finally softens into something like a strawberry finish. If Blue Raz Ice is your everyday hoodie, Ruby is your favorite red leather jacket—noticeable, confident, not trying to be subtle.

I wouldn’t recommend it as your very first vape flavor. It has some weight to it, and the profile isn’t “friendly” in the way Miami Mint or Blue Raz Ice is. But if you’re already deep into fruity flavors and want something that doesn’t feel watered down or fake, Ruby might be exactly what you’re missing.

I kept coming back to it at night—when I wanted something with a little more punch and personality. It’s not an all-day puff for me, but it’s a flavor I want to always have around.

TL;DR: Ruby isn’t for everyone. But if you get it… you really get it.

Final Tips: How to Avoid Flavor Fatigue & Buyer Regret

One thing I learned the hard way? Flavor names lie. Just because it sounds good doesn’t mean it vapes well.

Here are a few tips that would’ve saved me some money—and taste buds—if I’d known them earlier:

    • Start with safe bets. If you’re new to this brand, go with Blue Raz Ice or Miami Mint first. They’re consistent, balanced, and easy to like—even if you don’t normally go for fruity or minty.
    • Avoid buying flavors based on names alone. “Cactus Jack” sounds cool. “Banana Coconut” sounds exotic. But trust me, they don’t always taste like you’d expect.
    • Don’t buy five of one flavor until you’ve tried one. These flavors come in high puff counts—great if you love it, frustrating if you don’t. Try one first.
    • Join vape communities. Reddit threads, Discord groups, even TikTok reviews can give you brutally honest feedback before you spend anything.
    • Rotate devices and flavors. If you vape the same thing every day, flavor fatigue is guaranteed. Keep two devices in rotation to stay excited.

FAQ: Flavor Picks for Every Kind of Vaper

Q: What’s the best flavor for beginners?
A: Start with Blue Raz Ice. It’s well-balanced, not too sweet, and easy to enjoy.

Q: Which flavor should I avoid if I hate sweet vapes?
A: Skip Strawberry Shortcake and Banana Coconut. They build up sugar fatigue fast.

Q: Is Ruby too intense for casual vaping?
A: It depends. If you enjoy bold, layered fruit flavors and don’t mind a tart profile, Ruby can be a standout.

Q: Do devices affect flavor experience?
A: Yes. I used the DC25000, which gives a smoother draw than the TN9000. Your flavor intensity may vary.
