“King Of The Hill” Revival Gets New Opening Credits

The release of the long-gestating “King of The Hill” revival is just around the corner. Hulu has released a revamped opening credit sequence that raises so many questions. Like…did Hank and Peggy Hill briefly move out of their home? And who is that new guy in the alley?

Granted the show went off the air in 2009 and a lot has changed to say the least. The series’ resident conspiracy nut, Dale Gribble, seems tame after things like the birther movement and the rise of flat-earthers. Even the perpetually baby-face Bobby Hill is now a 21-year-old man, so some updated credits were due.

The “King of The Hill” Reboot

The 30 second credits open with the classic guitar strumming of The Refreshments with Hank, Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill all standing in the alley drinking. We quickly blast through season changing and Bobby, Joseph Gribble, and Connie Souphanousinphone all growing up.

Then we see an Arlen shuttle taking the Hills away as Bill cries. A moving van shows up and drops off what we assume is a new resident, who joins the guys for a few beers. Soon after we hit the pandemic with everyone masking and practicing social distancing, sans Dale. Bill leaves in a coughing fit, and Boomhauer soon bails for what seems to be a romantic partner and kid.

Dale gets busy running for mayor while the Hills move back into their Rainy Street residence with Bobby in tow. Yes, it’s a lot of information to cram in, in 30-seconds, but that was always the intro’s vibe anyway.

“King of The Hill” season 14 will run for 10-episodes and premieres on August 4th, 2025. We’ll keep you posted on more updates as they become available. You can check out the new intro for yourself below:
