Actor Hayden Christensen (“Obi-Wan Kenobi”) continues to be on a roll in a galaxy far, far away. He will once again be reprising the role of Anakin Skywalker for season 2 of the hit series “Ahsoka.” Lucasfilm CEO of Creative Dave Filoni announced the news during the Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo, Japan.

Filoni, executive producer Jon Favreau, and star Rosario Dawson (“Clerks II”) all took the stage for a panel to discuss making the first season of “Ahsoka.” During the chat, Dawson confirmed season 2 will begin shooting next week. Filoni also confirmed Admiral Akbar will be in the next season, and go head-to-head with Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen).
The trio rolled a clip from the show of Anakin and Ahsoka, before Christensen walked on to the stage. But they kept the big reveal of his return until the very end of the discussion. “There’s not much I can share, but Anakin will be back for season two,” Christensen said to applause.
