The “Karate Kid” franchise will be welcoming its latest instalment “Karate Kid: Legends” next month. Today, Sony Pictures Entertainment gave us an all new trailer for the upcoming film.

“Karate Kid: Legends” seeks to combine the various timelines in the series by having Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) training a new protege, Li Fong (Ben Wang). The young boy grows up learning kung fu from Mr. Han, a character introduced in the 2010 reboot. But when Li moves to the US he starts to have some trouble with bullies.
So he decides to switch disciplines and learn karate from Daniel LaRusso, the protege from the original 1984 film. He even plans to follow in LaRusso’s footsteps and solve all of his problems by entering a karate competition.
The new movie also stars Ming-Na Wen (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”), Joshua Jackson (“Dr. Death”), and Sadie Stanley (“Cruel Summer”). It is directed by Jonathan Entwistle (“I Am Not Okay With This”) from a script by Rob Lieber (“Peter Rabbit”).
“Karate Kid: Legends,” hits theaters on May 30th, 2025. You can check out the latest trailer below:
