The staff here at Nerdbot is dedicated to bringing you the latest, groundbreaking comic book developments, and we have a doozy for you today. Flavortown is canon in the DC Universe! How do we know? Well, Flavortown mayor Guy Fieri is in issue #37 of “Batman Superman World’s Finest.”

The new comic is written by Mark Waid with art by Adrian Gutierrez. Per the description;
“Superman and Batman have a code against killing…but does a king of Atlantis? As the Floronic Man makes his final play for dominion over the seas, Aquaman is forced to react as a warrior, not a superhero–and the consequences will surprise you!”
This issue even has special guest appearances by Swamp Thing and celebrity chef Guy Fieri! And you know the old saying; “Flavortown is a 50-foot radius around Guy Fieri,” making Flavortown canon in the DC Comics Universe. (There is also a sign saying “Welcome to Flavortown USA” on the cover)
Fieri In Comics
In 2016, a panel of “Batman” issue #23 shows a man bearing a striking resemblance to the chef. He sports a cheetah-print fedora atop frosted tips while wearing a fire-patterned shirt. But instead of making killer food, he does the less delicious task of selling guns. DC Comics also never confirmed that the artist intended it to be Fieri.
“World’s Finest” is confirmed to be Fieri making it his official comic book debut!
We’d also like to point out that this variant says “Cover Not Final” and that should be a war crime considering it is clearly high art. Please join us in officially begging DC Comics to keep this cover!
DC co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran have yet to respond to our telepathic requests for comment on this pressing matter.
