This just in in,
sounds like HBO is getting closer to having their cast set for their upcoming television adaptation of “Harry Potter.” We know who’s playing Dumbledore, but what about the other notable teaching staff for the school of witchcraft and wizardry?
Well, according to one source who claims exclusive knowledge of such things, Oscar nominee Janet McTeer (“Ozark“) may play Professor Minerva McGonagall.

Along with that, the same source claims Emmy nominee Paapa Essiedu (“The Capture“) is in final talks to play Professor Severus Snape.
Please keep in mind neither of these are done deals yet. “We appreciate that such a high-profile series will draw a lot of rumor and speculation,” HBO said in a statement about the “Harry Potter” series. “As we make our way through pre-production, we will only confirm details as we finalize deals.”
We’ll let you know what else we hear about this and other news.
