Funko Releases “I Love the ’80s” Collection of Pop Figures

Oh, the 1980s. A decade of flash and neon, now represented by grids and synth music. It was a time period that brought us a number of pop culture icons that are still relevant today. Funko is celebrating that colorful decade with a new line of Pop Vinyls and more in their “I Love the ’80s” collection!

Where to even start with this line-up. If you like cartoons, they’ve got you covered with “Masters of the Universe,” “Jem and the Holograms,” and “The Real Ghostbusters” for starters. But what if you prefer your cartoons based on greeting card companies? Congrats, because they also have Rainbow Brite and Care Bears for you to enjoy too. To be fair, the Care Bears are a little underrepresented unless you like Halloween themed ones.

Maybe you like your ’80s to be more Steven Spielberg-esque? If that’s what you want, you’ve got “E.T.” and “Gremlins.” Even better, it’s Gizmo from “Gremlins 2.” This may be a controversial statement to make, but it’s the superior film. It’s a fantastic deconstruction of sequels and this is the Funko you need to own to show off that you know this fact.

There are collections from a few John Hughes films including “Pretty in Pink,” “Say Anything,” “The Breakfast Club,” and even “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off!” How about Rocky Balboa and Ivan Drago? Yup, got those too. YOu’ll even find totes, backpacks, and wallets.

You can view the full list here and kiss some of your disposable income goodbye.
