Taco Bell, Milk Bar Team up for Birthday Cake Churro

A very merry unbirthday to you! Fast food giant Taco Bell and New York-based dessert company Milk Bar are joining forces for a birthday cake churro. The new sweet treat blends Milk Bar’s iconic birthday cake flavor with a Taco Bell twist.

It comes in a single serving or a bundle of two to share (or eat both, we don’t judge here). These birthday cake churros are served warm with a crispy outer layer filled with birthday cake frosting. This is all topped with bright pink confetti sprinkles, because what’s a birthday without sprinkles?

Inspired by the traditional Mexican dessert, Taco Bell set out to capture the light, fluffy form of the churro, but with a festive twist. “We love partnerships that play with form and flavor, which is exactly what we’ve done with this extra-celebratory take on the churro,” Liz Matthews, Taco Bell Global’s Chief Food Innovation Officer, said. “A visit to Taco Bell isn’t complete without savoring the sweets, and this special little treat captures the sweet, nostalgic birthday cake flavors and festive feeling with every bite, making every occasion feel like your special day.”

“For over 16 years, Milk Bar has been a part of so many people’s birthdays and special moments, so we were beyond excited when our friends at Taco Bell asked us if we were game to collab on another dessert to turn everyday moments into celebrations,” Christina Tosi, Chef and Founder of Milk Bar, said. “This treat has all the iconic birthday cake spirit (and flavor), deliciously and uniquely delivered in crispy churro form, and we can’t wait for you to try it!”

    More Than Just a Churro

This isn’t the first time Milk Bar and Taco Bell have joined forces either. In 2022, the companies collaborated on the strawberry bell truffle, which has Milk Bar’s award-winning cake truffles with tiny pieces of Taco Bell’s crunchy taco Shell. The result was a summertime smash hit.

Their latest concoction launches just one day before Taco Bell’s birthday, giving everyone an extra reason to celebrate. Grab your birthday cake churro at a location near you while supplies last.
