Peacock has released the first trailer for its documentary on, now-disgraced, rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. “Diddy: The Making Of A Bad Boy” will explore his earlier years, to the current onslaught of accusations against him. Speaking with the people closest to Combs through his childhood and decades-long career.
This 90-minute special will follow the rapper/producer’s journey into becoming Puff Daddy, and then re-branding to Diddy. Focusing on the “forces that shaped the man and may have made him a monster.”
“Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy” features never-before-seen footage and stories from those who know him best. In an attempt to shed light on his childhood, rise to fame, and recent criminal allegations. Forcing viewers to rethink everything they thought they knew about Diddy behind the music and mugshot.
Some of this exclusive footage includes him partying in various places, alongside interviews with his childhood friend, former bodyguard, and winner of the Diddy-produced “Making the Band.” There will also be in-depth interviews with singer/songwriter/producer Al B. Sure!, who worked with Combs at Uptown Records. He was also married to the late singer Kim Porter, who began dating Diddy after their divorce.
Combs is currently charged with racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. His trial is set to start May 5th.
