If you look closely, stickers are almost all around us. We often do not pay much attention to them unless in need. From functional ones like QR stickers to artistic stickers, there are so many different versions of them.

Stickers are in demand because of their low production cost, and because they can fit in a range of applications. Whether you want to promote your brand, collect them, use them for transactions, or decorate your items, stickers fit any type of need.

With so many different types of stickers, we often cannot find out the differences between them. Unless you know their types it is not possible to understand how and where to use them.

So let us try to get an idea about different custom stickers and find out differences among one another.

    Let’s begin…

    Vinyl Stickers

This is probably the most common type of sticker made with PVC being used for all applications. From decorating your items to brand visibility, or safety and instruction signage they are good for any use.

The good thing about these stickers is their longevity as they are highly resistant to weather and do not fade away. Once in use, it is applicable for about 10 to 15 years at least.

    Die-cut Stickers

As the name suggests these stickers are made with dyes in a range of applications. Most of the time they are used for decoration items or in packaging materials. You can customize them to fit as per the shape and size needed.

    Bumper Stickers

These types of stickers are specifically used in cars whether it is for decoration, interior design, or displaying signage and warning signs. These are either made of PVC or weatherproof paper ensuring their long-lasting.

    Holographic Stickers

The main feature of such stickers is the inclusion of holograms in the stickers. You can customize your brand name, and logo, or use any shape or object as the hologram within the stickers. These are very attractive under the light as they depict movement when seen from different angles. One of the main applications of these custom stickers is to create authenticity of the product. Plus the businesses also use it to create attraction.

    QR Stickers

QR stickers are mostly seen in the packaging of products and items. The QR code in the stickers may be used for seamless transactions and brand awareness. You need a scanner to scan these stickers.

Sometimes the QR stickers contain links to websites, product information, safety and usage instructions, and offers section.

    Domed Stickers

These stickers rather please you with their 3D appearance which is in the form of a domed shape. Made using adhesives, vinyl, and UV protection layers all fitted in a resin dome these stickers can help in brand awareness and decoration. If you want the public to grab attention, dome stickers are a much better idea than simple flat-shaped vinyl stickers.

    Embossed stickers

These types of stickers have a unique texture on them since the brand image, logo, or message is embedded in them. These are mostly used by businesses to showcase their logo and brand. Often people collect these types of stickers. You can use a range of colors, and fonts to give an instant appeal and a 3-D effect.

    Luminescence stickers

These stickers have a unique feature that lets it glow in the dark. Now these stickers can be simply made for children as they like the luminescent effect or else for safety purposes. You may see luminescent stickers on cars, and the road depicting safety signs.

    Security Stickers

These stickers are made using non-tampering material and are used for safety and to prevent unauthorized access. They are in use for product packaging in the medicinal industry the most. These stickers also depict the authenticity of the original brand and avoid counterfeit ones.

    Final Thoughts

So, as you can see, there are innumerable types and variants of stickers. You need to find the one suited to your application and needs. Stickers can add a new glam to your items, add security, prevent hazards, or enable transactions with ease. Businesses these days also use different types of stickers to promote their brand.
