Sony has officially put a new, currently untitled, “Spider-Man” movie on its summer 2026 release calendar. Tom Holland WILL be returning as everyone’s favorite web-slinger. Destin Daniel Cretton (“Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”) is already attached to direct.
Holland has previously starred in the Jon Watts–directed “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” Along with appearances as the character in Disney/Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” and “Avengers: Endgame.”
The star’s return for a fourth film was first hinted at back in September. However, Holland and co-star Zendaya had not closed their deals at that time.
Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will also return as producers on the untitled project.
As it stands, the fourth Holland-led “Spider-Man” film is slated to open on July 24, 2026. But this early into production that could easily change. We’ll keep you posted on updates about the film as they become available.
