John Wick (Keanu Reeves) has been kicking ass and taking names in his own namesake franchise for awhile. Now, it’s Eve’s (Ana de Armas) turn to get in on the fun in “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina.” Which Lionsgate just dropped the first trailer for.

Thankfully the trailer doesn’t seem to reflect the film’s troubled production. It initially wrapped filming in 2022, with a planned June 2024 release. However, in February the studio chose to push the release back to June 2025. This was to allow franchise director Chad Stahelski to team up with the movie’s director, Len Wiseman, to amp up the action.

From the trailer, “Ballerina” looks like we are getting a neon coated origin story of a ballerina turn assassin. With all the fight sequences you’d expect from a “John Wick” film.

Armas stars alongside Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, the late Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, and Ian McShane.

“From the World of John Wick: Ballerina,”  hits theaters on June 6, 2025. We’ll keep you posted on updates about the project as they become available. You can check out the first trailer for yourself below:
