Emmy-winning actor James Spader (“The Blacklist”) will soon be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! He will again be doing the voice of everyone’s favorite robot villain, Ultron, in the currently untitled Vision series.
Spader first voiced the android in 2015’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
The Vision series will be the third and final part of a trilogy that started with “WandaVision” and the upcoming “Agatha All Along,” which debuts in September on Disney+.
But Wait, There’s More!
Spader isn’t the only one returning to the MCU. Paul Bettany also reprises his role as the main character, Vision, an android who fell in love with Scarlet Witch. Plot details are sparse at this point, but it’s believed that the series will focus on Vision’s search for a new purpose in life.
Some fans may also remember that Vision had a hand in destroying Ultron. So there is no telling what kind of relationship the two will have in the series. But we’re willing to bet that it’s a conscientious one.
Terry Matalas (“Star Trek: Picard”) is developing the new show, which is unofficially being called “Vision Quest.” The series is planning to begin shooting in England in early 2025.
We’ll keep you posted on updates about Marvel Studios‘ Vision series as it develops. “Agatha All Along,” will hit Disney+ on September 18th.
