Netflix has released the first teaser for their upcoming anime series “Terminator Zero.” The eight-episode series centers around scientist Malcolm Lee, who is developing an AI to compete with Skynet. That is until an unrelenting cyborg assassin comes from the future to hunt him down.
Only one person stands between them, a resistance fighter known as Eiko on a mission of protection.

“This isn’t what you think it is,” Eiko’s voiceover warns in the teaser. “You can’t see it yet, but you’ve been on a collision course your entire life. There is no going back. Not really. It will never, ever stop.”
“Terminator Zero,” stars Timothy Olyphant (“Justified,” “Deadwood“) as the Terminator, Sonoya Mizuno as Eiko, and André Holland as Malcolm Lee. Rosario Dawson (“Ashoka,” “Daredevil“) will voice Koroko, and Ann Dowd (“The Handmaid’s Tale“) will voice the human resistance’s philosophical guide, The Prophet.

The new series is created and executive-produced by Mattson Tomlin (“The Batman“) and animated by Production I.G.
“Terminator Zero” will hit Netflix on Judgement Day, August 29th. You can check out the teaser trailer below:
