Cameras are rolling on season 2 of Netflix’s live-action “One Piece,” and fans are super excited! In Oda’s announcement last year that the show had been renewed he mentions that going forward, the ship would need a good doctor. Implying that Tony Tony Chopper would be included in this next season. Another thing that we are anticipating is seeing Kurehao, Chopper’s teacher. Jamie Lee Curtis has vied for the roll but hasn’t been confirmed (or denied!). We really hope she shows up!
Netflix released a teaser showing the cast meeting up at the filming location in Cape Town, South America. Join the Straw Hat Crew on their continuing adventure to find the Grand Blue.
What I’m expecting the new season to cover in the “One Piece” Timeline is this; Nami gets sick, They find Tony Tony Chopper who treats her, they sail off to the Grand Blue and stop at Alabasta along the way. I’m hoping to see the Alabasta/Crocodile arc be covered in the upcoming episodes which will set up for another character’s introduction, Robin.
Season 1 of the live-action series, and all seasons of the original “One Piece” anime are currently streaming on Netflix. Check out the announcement below:
