Wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) is a hunter turned hunted in the first trailer for “The Killer’s Game.” It is directed by JJ Perry (“Day Shift”) from a script by James Coyne (“Puncture Wounds”), Simon Kinberg (“X-Men: Dark Phoenix”), and Rand Ravich (“The Time Tunnel”). The film is based on a novel of the same name by Jay R. Bonansinga.

The action-comedy will follow veteran assassin, Joseph Flood (Bautista), who is diagnosed with a terminal illness. So he decides to take a hit out on himself, that is until he finds out that the doctor made a mistake and he is not dying. All hell breaks loose when he tries to cancel his own termination.
“I’m calling in every hitter in Europe, you hear me?” says the person who organized the hit (Pom Klementieff) to Joe.
“Yeah well, you tell them to pack light, because they won’t fucking be staying long,” he responds. Joe then has to fight off an army of assassins/colleagues to save himself and his ex-girlfriend (Sofia Boutella).
